Russell Brunson’s Expert Secrets:

Hey all!

In this video, I provide you with a summary/review of the Expert Secrets Story Telling upsell you can get after purchasing the Expert Secrets book.

DAEGAN SMITH is known as one of the top internet network marketers online (MLM) today teaching networkers how to overcome the two obstacles that he sees them struggling with – Money and Leads.

MICHAEL HAUGE has been one of Hollywood’s top script consultants, story experts and authors for more than 30 years. He coaches screenwriters, novelists, filmmakers, speakers, and marketers, helping transform their stories and their audiences using the principles and methods of Hollywood’s most successful movies. Michael has consulted on films starring Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts and Morgan Freeman, and has presented lectures and workshops to more than 70,000 participants worldwide.

Remember our brief intro on story telling in the Expert Secrets and DotCom Secrets reviews?

This seminar goes into much more detail into proper story telling with specific stages/parts you need to be aware of when telling your story and instilling that emotion to your audience.

As you recall from Expert Secrets, a good story has 3 components – the character, desire, and the conflict.

This seminar goes into much more detail into these and actually classifies them instead as:

The hero (protagonist, someone given the opportunity to be heroic)

To have a good story, the hero’s journey must have an external journey and an internal journey…

The seminar is about 4.5 hours long, and here are really the main things it teaches you:

1) The 6 stages to story telling (external journey)

2) The 5 turning points during which visitors are most likely to abandon your site (external journey)

3) 6 questions to ask to understand and employ the hero’s INNER journey

In ‘Hero’s Journey 2’, Michael Hauge explains the above 2 points.

In the first part, ‘Hero’s Journey 1’, Daegan shares some pointers for story telling and tells his own life story which Michael and the audience then analyze and go over bit by bit – super useful tips and suggestions you can apply to your own story telling.

– 6 stages to story telling:

The setup – introduce your hero, show them in everyday life (before and after), create empathy with them through sympathy (being a victim of something), being in jeopardy, and making them likable/kind/generous/giving/etc…

New situation – something new is happening, new geographical location/place, etc…

Progress – whatever plan the hero has set seems to be working

Complications & higher stakes – outside world is closing in/stakes are much higher of the hero’s decision/big money on the table/etc…

The final push – all or nothing push

Aftermath – what happens after? Want to see life after the entire journey/cause and effect

– 6 stages to understand and employ the hero’s inner journey:

What is the hero’s longing/missing life piece?

What was the character’s wound?

What is the hero’s belief?

What is the hero’s fear?

What is the hero’s identity?

What is your hero’s essence?

If you want to figure out your inner conflict, ask this:

“I’ll do whatever it takes to achieve _____, just don’t ask me to do _____ because that’s just not me.”

I found this seminar to be incredibly useful!

Unlike the previous book/review on ‘Convert Every Click’, this seminar provided me with valuable content from start to finish.

I didn’t know pretty much anything that was taught at all.

Super useful if you are developing your ‘attractive character’ and are thinking of how to come up with your story.

It has a super cool ‘template’ for you to follow that after following several times will be ingrained in your head and you will think differently in a ‘story’ perspective.

Seminar is filled with tips and suggestions that were super useful and Michael especially has a terrific sense of humor with some great jokes to get you laughing as you listen.

Actually makes me want to watch the movies Michael provided in the seminar just to observe everything he discussed – upon thinking about it, every movie DOES have exactly what he discussed (may not even be in that same order, but same concepts and ideas apply and regardless, his template is good to keep in the back of your head) – 30 years of experience in Hollywood doesn’t lie!

That’s it!
