What Is Thrive Themes?
Thrive Themes is an excellent WordPress plugin that allows you to build out high-converting landing pages and websites within WordPress.
How to Build Out a High-Converting Landing Page?
In this post, I build out a landing page from scratch with you using Thrive Themes.
This is a landing page with an average conversion rate of 52.68% that we already built out using Unbounce.
Now, we are building out with Thrive Themes as well.
We used this website to mimic our landing page.
We selected the 2nd option here and built out the page completely from scratch.

WordPress generally has a very high learning curve, but Thrive Themes makes it much easier to learn and master.
If you like the simplicity of use with Unbounce or ClickFunnels, then you’ll definitely like Thrive Themes. It’s also a drag and drop builder and allows you to easily build out your pages.
First of course, you’ll have to create a new post, so let’s go ahead and do that first before building out our page.
Click on “Pages” on the left-hand side, and then click on “Add New” – unless of course you want to create a new blog post. This is totally fine as well, but just select “Posts” instead of “Pages” and then just click on “Add New” as well.
Now this assumes that you already set up WordPress and intalled Thrive Themes with it, as well as selected the theme.

Now we could build everything out in here… but then that would beat the whole point of using Thrive Themes!
So you’re going to just go ahead and select the “Launch Thrive Architect” option at the top here.
This should open a brand new tab for you – good!
You will be taken to the Thrive Themes edit screen and this is where the magic happens.
You can select any option out of these 4 you want.
But I selected the blank page option so that we can create a page from scratch together, as that’s the hardest part.
It’s easy to build out a Thrive Themes landing page, or any landing page for that matter if you just use a given template…
But I want to teach you how to use all these tools, so we’ll be starting from zero.
Once you select that, you’ll open up the Thrive Themes page editor and just see one little square in the middle.
Do not worry – simply head over to the right-hand side and click on the little plus sign to add additional elements to the page.
So let’s say you want to add a text block to your Thrive Themes page… simply drag and drop the “text” box to the box you see in the middle of the page!
You can add the box above and underneath this block, but as you add more elements to your page, you’ll be able to add additional elements to the left and right of those elements as well.
Super simple!
Then on the left-hand side you will be able to style the element.
This includes things like adding boldness/italic/underline, changing the font size, color, type, etc…
This is where you will also be able to re-arrange the elements based on the margins and padding that you alter.
Padding is the distance between the specific thing that you are editing (like text) and the border of the box within the same element.
Margin is the distance between one element and the next.
As a rule of thumb, I would advise not to meddle with the padding and margins too much.
Later on when when we get to mobile optimization, it might not look as good on other devices.
There are other ways to change the distance between elements, like by aligning or adjusting the height/width of elements.
I would suggest you do first before meddling with the padding and margins.
Why I Like Thrive Themes
Learning how to build out pages using Thrive Themes might take a little of bit getting used to, but it is definitely much easier than using standalone WordPress.
In this video, we mainly use the image, text, button, email submit form and logo elements, but there are many other elements you can use, such as the countdown timer that will really stand out and help you convert.

It’s much easier to just see it then write it all out, so I won’t make this blog post super long as long as you know where to go and what buttons to click to make it happen.
The cool part is that this is 100% integrated with your WordPress website.
That means that you can easily create a landing page and an entire funnel using Thrive Themes and then just integrate all the parts together.
Once you are done building out the page, simply head back into your “pages” and change the page title as well as the slug if you want to.
If you want to make this your home page, simply head over to “customize”, and under “homepage”, select the name of the new page you just created and make that the homepage.
