Getting the tracking call unsuccessful error in Microsoft Ads?
You’re not the only one and this is the latest issue going on with Microsoft Ads at the moment, so I’m here to help you fix it!
Keep reading or check out the video to learn how to fix this issue…
First of all, just note that this issue will NOT affect your tracking…
As long as you followed the steps CORRECTLY in my other videos on how to track Microsoft Ads with tracking links… you will have no issues and this tracking call unsuccessful error shouldn’t block your tracking.
Here is the post in case you haven’t seen it.
Basically you want to make sure that the final URL does indeed match the tracking template URL.
If it does, you’re golden and everything will still work correctly.
*BUT THERE IS A SOLUTION TO THIS!
If the tracking call unsuccessful is still bothering you, there is a way to get rid of it and I’ll show you how.
You just have to click on the “Shared Library” on the left-hand side of your Microsoft Ads account, and click on “Account level options”.
Remember the auto-tagging of the Microsoft Click ID that we had to disable at first in the previous videos in order to make this work?
Well now you have to ENABLE it and the tracking call unsuccessful error will go away entirely.
I have ran tests for both of these situations and can confirm that the tracking still works for any situation.
In the latter, the tracking call unsuccessful error disappears (but tracking still works), and in the first case, the tracking call error is still there, but the tracking also still works.
And that’s it!
