The Most Efficient Way to Promote ClickBank Products On Google Ads (Stop Wasting $$ Now!)

Normally if you’re running paid ads, you’re bound to see some clicks from irrelevant searches that don’t have anything to do with your offer.

You would add these as negative keywords and other terms might keep coming back.

But there is a way to completely avoid this altogether and stop spending money on irrelevant clicks.

I’ll show you how to do that in this tutorial on the most efficient way to promote ClickBank products on Google Ads.

Part 1: Selecting a ClickBank product

The first thing you obviously have to do is select a ClickBank product, so head over to clickbank.com and find something you want to promote.

Next, make sure you create a landing page because you can’t direct link ClickBank products on Google Ads.

You can use any landing page builder to do but I use Unbounce:

Once you do that, you should be ready to promote your ClickBank product on Google Ads.

Part 2: Creating a Google Ads campaign

Now head over to https://ads.google.com and if you haven’t yet, create an account.

Click on “create new campaign” and fill in the blanks, entering your campaign name, budget, bid, location, and so on.

Otherwise, fill everything in until you get to the ad group part with keywords.

We are going to cover this section in the next part.

Part 3: The most efficient way to promote ClickBank products on Google Ads

Now that you pretty much created your campaign, this is where the “efficiency” part comes in.

Click on “Tools” at the top and select “Keyword planner”.

We are going to select exact match-type long-tail keywords so that we get clicks only from the most relevant traffic.

Long-tail keywords are keywords with 3+ words that are very specific.

So for our example Ted’s Woodworking product, you can type in “woodworking projects” and “woodworking plans” for example and then see what the keyword planner will give you.

Some of the ideas include “step by step woodworking plans for beginners”, or “woodworking bench plans” for example, which are much more specific and the exact type of keywords we’re looking for when promoting these ClickBank products on Google Ads.

So get out a notepad and copy down all the keywords that are as detailed and long-tail.

Remember – volume doesn’t matter much here. In fact, the lower the volume, the better, because that means that the keywords are very targeted and there’s not much room for irrelevant keywords.

So create a list of all these relevant keywords and add them into separate ad groups for your campaign.

Keep in mind that you will be paying a bit more for these keywords since they’re so specific, but overall you would be paying less because you will no longer pay for search terms that don’t relate to what it is you’re promoting.

The more ad groups you can separate the keywords into, the better.

In our example we created an ad group with “woodworking step by step plans” themed keywords, another ad group for “woodworking plans to sell” and son.

There is no right answer as to how many ad groups or keywords you need, but the more the better, assuming they’re relevant. Key here is relevant – don’t just add a bunch of ad groups and keywords and call it a day – they HAVE to be relevant.

And that is the most efficient way to promote ClickBank products on Google Ads!
