Google Ads and Facebook Ads, both amazing ad networks. You can be extremely profitable with both of them.
However, I believe Google Ads is much better than Facebook Ads for your business. And I’m going to tell you why. And if you want to see the video you can see it here:
If you’re new and you’re not sure about the main differences between the two, I do suggest that you check out my previous video where I go over the seven key differences between Google and Facebook Ads, which will give you a little bit of context for what I’m about to tell you here.
But if you’re familiar with the two and you want to hear my reasons, let’s get straight into it.
Reason #1: Google Ads Is Easier
Reason number one why I believe Google Ads is much better than Facebook Ads for your business is because it’s just so much easier.
Guys, search campaigns can’t be any easier than what it is right now. I call it the lowest hanging fruit of online marketing. You are giving people what they’re looking for.
So if somebody is typing “buy red socks,” your ad has to say “Buy red socks here. Get started now.” That is it. You don’t have to be creative. You don’t have to find fancy images. You don’t have to hire a copywriter. You copy paste what the person is searching for. Sometimes copy pasting your keyword or using the dynamic keyword insertion tool with Google Ads to make it even easier. And voila, you have an amazing looking ad.
With Facebook, you have to get creative. You have to get a hook. You have to be smart about it. You have to find an image. You have to have a nice company page. You can’t promote on Facebook without having a page with some likes. You better have some likes on your page, too. Because if you don’t have any likes, now all of a sudden your credibility goes down without you even doing anything. Your credibility is already lower.
So with Google Ads, it’s just so much easier to get started.
Now you might be saying, “Okay, but Ivan, I’m not a beginner. I’m experienced. I know what I’m doing. I don’t mind that extra work with Facebook.”
Well, either way, if you are a business, you might come up with new products. Or especially like me, if you’re an affiliate and you are constantly testing new products and new offers every day, Google Ads is just so much easier for you to test.
You don’t have to invest hours into getting those images, creating fancy headlines, creating your Facebook pages for every single different product. You just copy paste your ad, change a few keywords, maybe change a few words in the headline around. And in just a few seconds, you should be good to test your new product. Simple as that.
So that’s my reason number one why I think Google Ads is just so much better than Facebook Ads.
Reason #2: Google Ads Has Higher Traffic Quality
My reason number two for why I think Google Ads is better is the quality of traffic is higher because of the user search intent.
So if somebody is typing something in like “buy red socks,” hey, they are ready to buy. The chances of them buying your product are much higher. And I can assure you there are many, many people that are at the bottom level of the funnel that are ready to buy that you can’t explicitly target with Facebook. With Google Ads, you can by adding those keywords.
And hey, some of the costs per click for some of the keywords with Google Ads, let’s suppose in the law niche, you could pay up to $300 or $400 per click.
Guys, what does that tell you? Think about it.
That means people are willing to pay that much for good, high-quality traffic. Nobody would pay $500 a click if the quality was bad. If you’re promoting on random different websites, nobody in their right mind is going to pay 500 bucks a click.
But with Google Ads, people do. And that’s because they know that depending again on your niche, if they pay so much, if they pay higher per click, the quality of traffic is also going to be higher. And this is why the cost per click for Google Ads is generally a bit higher than Facebook Ads for just this reason because the quality of traffic is higher.
Reason #3: You Can Run Many Different Campaign Types On Google Ads
And last but not least, my reason number three for why Google Ads is better than Facebook Ads is because if you get tired of search campaigns and you say, “Oh, I want to do this interruptive marketing. I want to show my ads on different websites. And I want to try to grab someone’s attention.”
Well, hey, you don’t have to switch over to Facebook. You can stay on Google Ads, and you can run display campaigns. You can run Google discovery ads. You can run YouTube ads. And boom, all of a sudden you have the best of both worlds. You have everything you need here with Google.
Did you know that if you use Google display advertising, which is like native ads, you can target 90% of the world’s population. Guys, think about that.
Google has about 4.8 billion users. Facebook has about 3 billion. But now that Google is partnered with all these millions of websites, that 4.8 billion is now even higher. Because now your ad can be shown on millions of different websites. And just like that, you reach the whole world. You don’t have to switch to Facebook.
So these are my three reasons for why I strongly believe that if you had to choose between one or the other, Google Ads would be better because it has everything you need, and the quality of traffic is higher.
Of course you could try both. And you should. If you’re a business and you have the money and you’re able to try both, definitely do. Because sometimes you might find that one of these works better for your business than the other.
However, if you had to choose one, I would go with Google Ads.
And that is it for this post on why I believe Google Ads is better.
