Are you getting 0 sales in your online marketing?
Keep reading this post or watch this video to learn the 5 possible reasons why you’re getting absolutely no sales and how to fix it!
This applies to any online marketing, including affiliate networks like ClickBank.
I do assume in this video that you ARE getting impressions and clicks already, but just not sales.
Because if you’re not getting impressions and/or clicks, that’s a whole other topic that needs to be looked at.
I do have a post that covers why you’re getting 0 impressions and how to get around it, but if you want me to make a video on why you’re getting 0 clicks, let me know in the comments below!
That said, let’s get into the top 5 reasons why you’re not making any sales.
Reason #1: The offer sucks
You could be doing absolutely everything right, but if the offer is bad… your campaign will not do well.
Before you find an offer you want to promote, make sure to read this post I wrote about how to find winning offers on ClickBank.
I go through several criteria for select winning offers that can apply anywhere, no just ClickBank.
It’s possible that the offer just doesn’t drive as much desperation as some health and wealth offers, or it could be that the offer is just a plain scam and people know about it, so your chances to sell it are obviously lower.
Don’t underestimate the power of a good offer – you CAN promote anything and be successful under the right circumstances, but why make it harder for yourself?
Find something that works and stick with it.
Let’s go over the next reason why you’re getting 0 sales.
Reason #2: The landing page sucks
It’s important to take people to a page that looks professional.
It seems obvious and yet so many people just put together some pictures and words and call that a landing page.
If you haven’t seen my post on 5 landing page optimization tips to skyrocket your conversion rates, check it out here:
Your page has to be relevant to the offer, have a clear headline, high-quality images, and give people what they clicked on the ad for.
If you are direct-linking and don’t have your own landing page, the same applies with the vendor’s sales page.
It has to look professional and some of these pages simply don’t.
In these cases you can promote a different offer or create your own landing page to take people to.
But if you look at Resurge for example, that is a horrible sales page to take people to since it just has one huge video with absolutely no information on what it’s about.
Reason #3: The ad isn’t relevant to the offer
Just like your landing page has to deliver what your promised, the ad has to be relevant to your landing page.
If you’re teaching how to make money online with an initial starting capital… don’t say “FREE” in your ad.
If you’re offering people a weight loss pill, don’t say “weight loss exercises” in the ad.
Super simple stuff, and yet so many of you make this mistake.
You can use the dynamic insertion tool to make your ads relevant to the offer as well, but if you want to really nail this point down, I’d suggest creating separate ad groups with highly-specific keywords in each.
If you want to learn how to use this dynamic insertion tool, take a look at these posts where I cover this in detail:
Reason #4: The keywords aren’t relevant to the offer
Speaking of keywords – they too have to be relevant to the ad and landing page.
Same point as before – if you’re NOT offering something for free… then do not use “free” in your keyword.
If you’re using broad or phrase match type keywords, you’re bound to get some irrelevant search terms and that’s OK – but then make sure that you utilize the search term report and add keywords that aren’t relevant to what you’re offering ASAP.
Because these are the clicks that will lead in immediate closing out of the page, but still cost you money for it.
Reason #5: Technical issues
Another reason why you’re getting 0 sales is that there are technical issues in the whole process from start to finish and you’re simply not getting credit for the sales, or your website doesn’t work when you think it does.
Although last, this reason is just as important as the other four and very often overlooked.
ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO TEST THE ENTIRE PROCESS YOURSELF FROM START TO FINISH!
There could be many things that can go wrong here – your landing page link might not work, your affiliate link is broken, your email integration is malfunctioning, and so on.
So go through the entire process yourself to make sure everything is working as intended.
One common mistake I see people do is use the wrong affiliate link.
You HAVE TO USE THE AFFILIATE LINK GIVEN TO YOU BY CLICKBANK DIRECTLY.
You CANNOT use the sales page link + hoplink=yourid.
Even though on the surface it seems that this is fine, it actually isn’t. ONLY use the ugly ClickBank affiliate link because only that link will get you credit for sales.
To test this yourself, open an incognito window and enter whatever affiliate link you’re using into the browser.
Go to the order form page and if you don’t see your affiliate ID at the very bottom where it says “affiliate”, then this is a problem that needs fixing and you should look into getting a new affiliate link.
And these are the top 5 reasons for why you’re getting 0 sales!
